ATSI (Association of TeleServices International) Award of Excellence – The ATSI Award of Excellence is a measure of quality customer service provided by call centers and answering services around the world.  As the leading industry association for answering service, ATSI has established a set of guidelines for call centers and answering services to demonstrate their level of customer service. “Mystery calls” are placed by a third party company throughout the year to participating call centers, and can be received at any time, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.  The “mystery calls” are scored in several categories including, but not limited to, hold time, correct use of grammar, manners, verification of information given by the caller, and operator knowledge and confidence. 

Cosmopolitan has achieved this coveted award for four consecutive years, and we are continuing our participation in this program.  Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that each caller feels they had a positive experience, and their call was properly managed.  Cosmopolitan is confident that through our continued on-site quality assurance and participation in the Award of Excellence program, our callers are receiving the highest level of care.

As a result, participants have access to the country's largest database of comparative benchmarking.

ATSI 24/7 Site Certified – The 24 / 7 Site Certification Program sets forth over 60 criteria that need to be met or exceeded. They represent a collection of the best practices and guidelines that our TAS sites adhere to. Part of the challenge of participating in this peer review and inspection program is in the preparations and groundwork an answering service/call center will need to complete in order to qualify. Upon receiving Certification status, an answering service will have demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Certification Committee a high level of proficiency in recovery techniques, good business practices, documentation of procedures, and levels of redundancy necessary for 24 / 7 preparedness.

ATSI/SNUG Supervisor Certification All Supervisors/Team Managers at Cosmopolitan are Customer Service and Supervisor certified. 

The Customer Service Representative Certification Program is designed and written for the Telephone Answering Service industry to certify and accredit their staff of Customer Service Representatives / Telephone Service Representatives.

The goal of the CSR Certification Program is for answering service / call centers to offer their Customer Service Representatives a professionally prepared program where they can be tested and accredited in telephone answering service and customer service skill sets.   Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence in three areas: completion and testing under the Interactive Training Program, successfully passing a comprehensive written examination of call handling skill sets, and an oral interview testing customer service issues and problem calls with a certified examiner.        

Supervisors are eligible to complete the Supervisor Certification exam upon completing the Customer Service Representative Certification Program and have been a Supervisor for at least 1 year.  Throughout the Supervisor Certification Process, Supervisors are tested on their ability to lead, coach and manage their Team Members.  As part of the Certification process, Supervisors are given problems and Case Studies to work through.  There are also essay questions regarding system operations and procedures and how to handle various employee situations.  It is as much a test of character and leadership as a test of knowledge.

Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility

The Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Flexibility is a recognition program of When Work Works, a nationwide initiative to bring research on workplace effectiveness and flexibility into community and business practice. This award recognizes employers that are successfully using workplace flexibility to meet both employer and employee goals. The scoring process is rigorous. Employer responses are measured against national data to determine the winners.

When Work Works is both a national and community-based initiative. This initiative has expanded the number of participating communities each year. In 2008-2009, When Work Works is partnering with 30 communities and launching three statewide initiatives to provide information and outreach on workplace flexibility and effectiveness.
